Billericays Soapbox Derby is one of my favourite days of the year. The whole community is out in force for an event that is fun and loved by all.
For those of you who haven’t been, people race homemade “soapboxes” from Sun Corner to the traffic junction at Western Road. Points are awarded for times and how many jumps you can make!
We hope that lots of our children will be joining us to cheer on Team Green as we race on Sunday 4th May.
The event raises money for local charities. If you would like to support us, you can do so by donating on our website or by buying a pack of our Family T-Shirts. We would LOVE to see a sea of Green T shirts as we hurtle down London Road!
