Flashback to 2004, when my eldest daughter was in nursery (she went to a nursery for a few months before I started my own!) Mornings were a crazy rush for me to get out the house and in to work, and I was always the parent doing the ‘drop and run’. I never seemed to have a second to spend any time in the nursery with her.
Come evening, I’d usually be the last mum to pick up, just as the nursery was closing. It always really bugged me that I never really got to see what was happening during the day.
It was all a bit of a mystery. What went on behind those doors?!
Don’t get me wrong – Abbie was really happy and settled – but I just felt somewhat disconnected with the nursery and I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall to see what she got up to during the day.
Fast forward to now, and that’s exactly why we’re all about keeping you in the loop at Polka Dot Farm. We’re big on sharing our day-to-day through videos, photos, and all sorts of updates, so you feel like you’re right there with us. It’s really important to us that you don’t have that “disconnected” feeling that I had all those years ago.
